This class is designed for the student/artist who has taken multiple workshops with Stan, or another teacher and is looking to be really challenged in their art. This is not for beginners, and will deal with many hours of discussion, critique, experiments and demands. We will work from the model, the landscape, conceptual and abstraction. 6-9PM March 1. A three day spring workshop, from Thursday-Sun. The Cape is coming to life in the spring and the weather is usually at its best these weeks, lots of spring growth and the marshes changing color. The beach is quiet and often calm. This is a good opportunity to work with Stan directly at his farm, and the surrounding landscape of Avalon, Stone Harbor & Cape May. As always there will be plenty of demos, and advice. Many good restaurants are open and there are no waits. This class can be immediately followed by the 2nd part below if you choose for an additional $300 Class is limited to 12. All levels welcome. Reception is open to all
attendees and guest. Lodging: www.hylandmotorinn.com www.stoneharbormotels.com Workshop attendees are encouraged to come in on Thursday for an afternoon hike with a demo/orientation at the Crow Creek Farm Cottage. This is a chance to work with me in the summer colors and shoreline scenery. I plan on working with all the motifs of the ocean, beach, boats, marsh & resort. This class involves a commitment to rising with the sun, painting the morning 7-11AM break for the heat of day, and return for the late afternoon into evening 3:30-7:30. We will have a 6 PM Thursday evening reception/demo/orientation at my studio in Cape May Court House.
This workshop will focus on the landscape outdoors (weather permitting). There will be many discussions and demonstrations on the very exciting ways to work with the medium. Stan will work closely with each attendee giving constant advice and critiques. Students of all levels are encouraged to join as Sperlaks teaching methods can challenge an established artist and inspire the beginner. This will be a fun and invigorating workshop, sure to change the way you use pastels. The group will try to have an evening get together each night. The added bonus of working at Ludwig studios will include a tour of the factory and some time with Terry Ludwig. This class will begin with an evening reception on Thursday August 2 at 6PM
Upon registration, directions, lodging and itinerary will be sent.

FINAL NOTES:
Pre WORKSHOP EVENINGS are MANDATORY, please do not plan on skipping these, no matter how many times you have worked with me, there is always new information about the class and locations.
As with all my multi-day workshops, I understand people need to travel, some have other commitments and some cant take off weekdays or weekends, so I allow for flexible enrollment. The only hitch is I tend to cover a lot on the first day/reception such as materials, techniques and planning. And all multi day workshops end with a critique, which again for some is very important and brings it all together.
*Usually on the second day, we have a model, both nude and clothed. All Mediums Accepted into workshopsMC/VISA/Discover Accepted for Crow Creek Workshops FORMS & DOWNLOADS Registration Form in PDF Format |
